Re:Annual Budget filter?
I see your point, but...If I have a budgeted amount that SHOULD be a one time expense but it ends up being under or over the budgeted item, then I want to be able to see how much (positive or negative) the balance is for that item.
I tried unchecking auto-carryover and it does not seem to help.
For instance, we had a budget for swimming lessons. We only did them in June and spent less than the budget. But I cannot get the leftover budget money to show as available on my year-to-date budget. On the year-to date budget, it shows that I budgeted 0 (because it is reading the amount budgeted for August, but then it includes the expenses from June including in the query. So, it appears as if I overspent, when I actually underspent.
If I do custom dates to include all the dates, it doesn't show up at all because it says, "one time 6/2012".

This brings me back to my original post: i would like to be able to see the whole budget year and the expenses to date, so that I can see the amount remaining for each category for the year.

I want to see my year to date budget vs. the year to date expenses and any one-time expenses seem to throw budgettracker into a world of confusion.

Re:Annual Budget filter?
The custom date issue should now be resolved. Please let us know if you see any additional issues.

Re:Annual Budget filter?
As far as your one month budget amounts, it looks like you have Auto Carry over turned on so it continues to show each month for instances where you have one amount that wont get paid in full in that one month. If you uncheck the auto carryover, you shouldn't see a $0 amount anymore.
For the issue with your custom dates calculating the wrong budget, we are investigating this issue.

Re:Annual Budget filter?
Furthermore...
My budget reports wrongly on items that are to be tracked monthly but on any period less than 12 months.
For instance, I have my car insurance ($1000/yr.) set to be paid in 2 payments over 2 months, in December and January. So, I set it to track at $500/month for those 2 months. But when I look at the budget, it shows that my car insurance total budget to be $3000, as if it is $500/month for each month from the date I have as the start date (december) through the end of my fiscal year (may).

Re:Annual Budget filter?
Sorry...got caught up in the olympics and never replied...
you say, "try it now"....My question was essentially saying that I don't see how I can see a yearly budget. I can put in the custom dates for my fiscal year 6/1/12 -5/31/13, but even then I get some things showing up as budgeted $0 that should not be.
Also, I am noticing that when I look at My Budget, there is a problem with any budget item that was selected as a "one month only" occurrence. For instance, I only pay my CPA once per year. I don't need to have that budgeted every month. But, it shows me over budget because it records the expense transaction but shows the budget to be zero. It's like that on all the "one month only" recurrence items.

Re:Annual Budget filter?
Thank you for pointing this out. We found an issue with Custom Dates on the My Budget page with calculating the amount of your budget. Please try it now.

Annual Budget filter?
I would like to see my total annual budget for the current year. I can see year-to-date, last year, etc. but I want to see THIS year's budget totals. When I select the custom dates for my personally-defined fiscal year of June 2012-May 2013, it does not work. I want to be able to see the total budget for the year. This seems like it should be obvious, but I can't seem to find it. Thanks.
