We've updated the iPhone and iPad app with a new version. This covers a fix to the login page as well as the ability to now enter your Tasks and sync them up with the BudgetTracker website.
You can now change the color of each of your tabs. This will also change the color schema for all pages under that tab. We've also added some new colors to try out.
You now have the ability to delete all transactions in an account easily by going to My Transactions and clicking the "Delete All" link at the bottom of each accounts transactions.
We've updated the Balance Account option to now allow you to either create a new transaction of the difference or adjust the opening balance. If you have entered a starting balance that does not match your actual starting bank balance, you may want to choose this new option instead. Additionally, when importing a QIF file, you will now be able to enter in your existing balance to make sure the balance after your transactions have been imported matches up with the bank.
With the release of our new iPad, we've also just release our new home page which highlights our mobile applications as well as quick info about our blogs.
We've released the first version of an iPad app now available on the app store. You can find it either by searching for budgettracker on the app store or click the Mobile link in the left navigation. This includes the ability to view and edit Bills, Budget, Income, Accounts, and Transactions. More features of our website will be added incrementally to the app over time. In addition, the iPhone app has been updated to also include all the features found on the iPad app.
You now have the ability to apply your budgeted categories that are not tied to a bill or income to show up in your transaction forecast. To start, update or create a budget category from the My Budget page and select the Add to Forecast checkbox. From there, you can select the account it should be attached to and when you want the budgeted amount to be applied such as first/end of month, split into 4 transactions, etc.
You can now add Gift Cards which will be calculated into your Net Worth. To access, click on My Accounts and click the "Update Gift Cards" link at the bottom of the page.
You can now set a spending limit on a per account basis. Once set, we'll let you know when you've gone over that spending limit for the current month. To add, go to My Accounts and hover your mouse over any of your accounts, then click "Add Spending Limit".
