We've updated the My Budget page so that Bills and Income will have a higher priority than what the category type was originally set to (expense/deposit). This should resolve some cases where the your budget appears to be adding instead of subtracting.
We've launched a new design of the BudgetTracker site and is now available in Beta to try out. To access, click the themes dropdown or themes link and choose the Beta Theme. We also will be introducing a new home page and logo in July.
When importing QIF files, we are now attempting to parse the payee name to find a TaxID. This way we can avoid importing the same transaction twice if we have a unique reference already. If your bank has a specific way of adding the taxid to your Payee names, please let us know by emailing us an example to service@budgettracker.com and we can add in a test case for it.
We've added a new page that will allow you to check for duplicates easily. This will be based on having the same Payee Name, Amount, and Date. To access, go to My Transactions, select the Related To dropdown and choose "Check Duplicates".
We've added a new feature to the calendar page that will now give you a monthly summary of your Income minus your Bills. Any day that has a Bil or Income item in it will now also show a summary entry. If the total is greater than 0 it will appear green, if less than 0, red so you can clearly see if your expense are greater than the money coming in.
We now support up to 5 different decimal currencies. To update where the decimal or comma goes in your currency, click on Settings from the upper right corner and you will now see a dropdown where you can choose your type. If it is not listed, please let us know and we can have it added in.
We've created a seperate page to view your amortization charts based off of the My Bills page. From the related to dropdown on the My Bills page, you'll now see a "Pay Down Schedule" option to choose from. We've also updated the amortization chart to include paid payments if the Bill is not a transfer and Total Due was filled out since the balance is based on a static amount and not your current balance.
