We've update the subscription to now allow users on the standard plan to include AutoSync for the main account only. If you do not use sub-accounts and have upgraded, thank you and please send us an email to lower your subscription.
We've added the ability to create rules for your Payees so that when any transaction get imported into the system, we'll automatically convert it to the name you choose. Additionally, this gives you the ability to update existing transaction payees quickly. To access, go to the Payees page from the left navigation and you'll now see a rules section at the top.
You can now select by dropdown which type of search you want to perform (link, notes, transactions).
Transaction Filter - You can now filter your search results even more by category, account, or amount.
At the bottom of transaction search results, you'll now see the ability to apply a category to all search results listed, or you can also move all search results to another account. This makes it easy to move transactions back and forth as needed.
New Logo, Automatic Transactions, and New Home Page
We're happy to release the new Logo and Home page for the BudgetTracker site. In addition to this release, we've also integrated Automatic Transactions so users can now retrieve transactions automatically from your bank or financial institution each night. To learn more about AutoSync, please go to the Subscription page by clicking the Subscription link at the bottom of the page.
We've updated the My Budget page so that Bills and Income will have a higher priority than what the category type was originally set to (expense/deposit). This should resolve some cases where the your budget appears to be adding instead of subtracting.
We've launched a new design of the BudgetTracker site and is now available in Beta to try out. To access, click the themes dropdown or themes link and choose the Beta Theme. We also will be introducing a new home page and logo in July.
When importing QIF files, we are now attempting to parse the payee name to find a TaxID. This way we can avoid importing the same transaction twice if we have a unique reference already. If your bank has a specific way of adding the taxid to your Payee names, please let us know by emailing us an example to service@budgettracker.com and we can add in a test case for it.
