Re:My Credit Report
A form can be found at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/include/requestformfinal.pdf. You definitely don't have to pay if you do this via snail mail.

"For instant access to your free credit report, visit www.annualcreditreport.com"

Good luck!

Re:My Credit Report
Also be careful because they will say the report is free but charge you a monitoring fee! You are allowed one free credit report a year if you want to keep a closer eye on it I have been using creditreport.com. I will get one every other month or so due to I was assisting with increasing someones credit score. It reads really easy and updates right away. Just make sure you cancel the credit monitoring portion which is easy just call the customer service and they will remove it no problem.

Re:My Credit Report
It takes a little leg work but heres 1 way to get them:

Google the mailing addresses for the 3 bureaus-
(this site has them)
http://www.bcsalliance.com/cra_contact.html

Then write a letter to each with your name, SS, address, and previous address. Request your "free/yearly" report. They'll send it.

Good call on not getting suckered by all the "free" options that require 12.99/month for a year. :) Good luck.

My Credit Report
Why do all the "free" online sources for retrieveing your credit report always seem to lead me to a charged service? Can anyone tell me exact who I contact to obtain MY credit report without having to pay. If it belongs to me shouldn't it be free?
