The problem is that both the withdrawal portion of the transfer and the deposit portion are assigned the same category so these are canceling each other out. For loan transfers, you'll want to just assign the withdrawal portion to your budget category. Then if you would also like to track the deposit portions in your budget, you'll need to create a separate budget category as a deposit type.

Not updating Budget
I am having problems getting my loan payments (which are categorized as checking transfers to update principle) to appear in my budget. I've made two loan payments this month and neither are appearing as completed in my budget. Am I doing something wrong?
