Re:Duplicated amount no matter what I do
Possibly what is happening is you may be looking at the amount on the My Income page which by default shows the amount of the Income item instead of the amount you paid. To show the paid amount, you should see a "Show paid amounts" link. If you go to the My Transactions page and select your account, you should see the amount you entered. Also by default, the new transactions page will get pre-populated with your scheduled amount if you are coming from the My Income page and click the "record" link.
If this is not the case and you are seeing this on the My Transactions page, please try to reproduce this again and send us an email with the amount you entered, the date, and the account it was recorded into so we can investigate this further to service@budgettracker.com

Re:Duplicated amount no matter what I do
I believe it was both ways. And to make the situation a little more confusing, when I entered the amount the first time I recall being able to enter a split amount. However, when I enter it through the main transaction interface, I don't see a "split" link until after I've submitted the transaction and go to edit it.

I appreciate any help you can offer.

Btw, the site seems a big sluggish today. Is something going on behind the scenes?

How are you submitting your new amount? Are you coming from the My Income page, or going to My Transactions and clicking New Transaction, or entering it from the side menu?

Does tech support monitor these messages? I'm trying to decide if I should buy this service. Knowing that there is support would help. :)

Duplicated amount no matter what I do
I'll begin by saying that I'm brand new to BudgetTracker so it's entirely possible this is user error. That begin said, I've tried multiple times and keep coming up with the same problem. I enter an income amount and assign it to a category. I submit and it's done, showing properly. I then enter a new transaction, different payee (or I guess it would be payor?) enter a new amount, same category. I submit and get the previous amount I entered. I do it again and the same amount STILL appears from the first transaction. I can edit the transaction to the correct amount and it stays that way, but why is it always showing the first amount?
