Re:general questions on Credit/Loan transactions
You'll now see a new drop-down at the top of each charts page to allow you to set if you'd like to include or exclude transfers from your graphs.

Re:general questions on Credit/Loan transactions
In fact there could be an easier way to implement it... In the transfer window you could categorize or not the transaction for each account. If you do not put any categories to the transfer then the budget is not affected and the the expense is not increased. If you assign a category to the transfer then the budget is affected and the expense number should be increased.
Basically the same way as "Income statement" represents the data. My proposal it to be the same for "Expenses" Graph and Expense summary under "My transactions" section.

Re:general questions on Credit/Loan transactions
Yes. this is correct. There are two ways of handling as you say. Maybe it is a good idea to have a flexibility on this Thanks.

Re:general questions on Credit/Loan transactions
Thank you for the feedback. This depends on how users are budgeting for their credit card. If your credit card categories are a part of your budget then you will not want to show the expenses on the chart but if you track your credit card purchases separately, then you'll want to track the transfer in your budget. We'll look into making this an option which you can turn on or off on the Settings page.

Re:general questions on Credit/Loan transactions
Ok, I am getting back to this topic. I have made some investigation on the way of handling loan and credit cards accounts.
It looks like I got confused about the Credit Card account transactions . Recently I have realized that when making payments to the credit card via a transfer transaction (checking->Credit Card) then the correct registering is not to increase the expenses number.... just like a regular transaction, just moving the money. Previously I was confused how to handle those and made a mistake suggestion. You have made the change to increase the expense numbers, but it seems this is not correct way. This may confuse other users ( if this was a global change)
Could you revert this to the original way just for the Credit Cards?
Please keep the Loan as it is today. ( It is an off budget account just for tracking and transfer to it really increases the expenses)

Re:general questions on Credit/Loan transactions
Thanks for this fix. I see now that changes are applied. The "Income Statement" calculation is OK The "Income vs. Expense" chart is OK
I see still that one calculation is not correct. It is in: "My Transactions" -> "Viewable Transaction Summary" table -> Expenses The number there is still not correct. It uses the old calculation.
Could you please fix it.
Thanks for the great support!

Re:general questions on Credit/Loan transactions
We've updated the Income vs Expense graph so that if you are transferring funds to a credit card or loan, it will now show up an increase to your expense graph.

For this error, please email us at service@budgettracker.com some of the details you are seeing such as the account you are filtering on and the expenses you've recorded that are not adding up so we can investigate the issue.
