Re:My income and transfers - problem
Thank you for the feedback. We'll look into filling in the gaps on support.budgettracker.com since the site does have a lot to cover.
To access "deposit to multiple accounts", go to My Income and either create a new item or edit an existing one. When you check the Split Income checkbox, you'll see that "Paycheck Split" is a dropdown. From there you can change it to either "Split Transaction" or "Deposit to Mulitple Accounts".

Re:My income and transfers - problem
I can't find the "deposit to multiple accounts" option - what page is it on? This comes back to my earlier post asking about a centralized source of information about how to use BudgetTracker. I've taken some time to look around for this feature, but I can't find it. Pardon my frustration, but are you all using your users' questions to build your training material? I like some of the capabilities of BudgetTracker, but I'm considering cancelling my subscription due to the difficulties with understanding how to use the tool. As a user, I should be able to go to a page that EXPLAINS all the steps needed to set up an income deposit, along with pointers to other pages that have supporting capabilities, rather than have to dig through the Knowledge Base Q&A.

Re:My income and transfers - problem
It sounds like you may need to create 2 income items. Another option is to choose the "Deposit to Multiple Accounts" option instead of using the Split Option. The difference between the two is that the split option will first split your income, then it will apply all transfers whereas Deposit to Multiple Accounts will apply the amounts to the selected accounts. You can then enter negative amounts for your taxes if you want and positive amounts for the ones going act as a deposits but if you enter in your taxes you'll need to enter in the gross amount and not the net. Let us know if this works for you.

Re:My income and transfers - problem
If I don't check "Taxes/Deductions" for those, then the net amount of the paycheck deposit is not correct. I'd rather do the transfer here - this is how my paycheck is deposited (with money going into 2 accounts) - how do other people perform this kind of transaction?

Re:My income and transfers - problem
It looks like you have Tax/Deductions checked for the ones that are transferring to your savings so it gets treated as a withdrawal from your checking. If you'd like to treat it as part of your income you can leave this unchecked. Another option is to not include the transfer as part of your income, but setup transfers from the My Transfers page.

My income and transfers - problem
I set up a repeated Income. The end result of the deposit goes into my checking account, but I note my overall income and typical deductions (tax withholdings etc). I have a portion of my paycheck auto-deposited into my savings account. When I "recorded" the income in BudgetTracker, it noted the correct deposit into my checking account, but it noted the same amount as being withdrawn from savings, rather than adding the smaller deposit. Do I have to set this up as 2 different incomes; one for checking and one for savings?
