The tool just flat-out doesn't work ... setting for >1.00 or >1 (or even "greater than -1.00" or "less than -1.00") and setting to "this year" and trying every account in a chosen category full of expenses.
No matter what criteria -- zero results.

When searching for a given amount, try using the side filter section instead of the search bar and set it to either less than, greater than or equal to the amount specified. Also note that if you are search for a withdrawal, you'll need to enter a negative sign before the number.

Search for a transaction
Scenario: I want to know if I already had logged in an expense sometime this year. What am I doing wrong -- using the settings below, and putting in a known logged-in expense for testing purposes, I get zero results even though I know it is in my data.
In the left-sidebar menu, I go to Reporting > Search. The Transactions box at the top is green, set the blue drop-down to Transactions and put the dollar amount (with or without dollar sign) in the text box, click Search, and get zero results. Thinking Filter Search is engaged by default, I change This Month to All and try again. Still zero results, getting "No Transactions Found."
What am I doing wrong to search across all dates and all accounts for a transaction of a specific dollar amount?
