Re:Paycheck Entries
Good feedback, the Net Amount has been updated to reflect the Gross Amount - Deposits for both the record transaction page and when editing your income item. For tracking gross income reporting, you can assign the same gross category to the deposit transactions.

Re:Paycheck Entries
OK, ignore my last. I see what you did. You subtracted the deposits minus Gross Pay. The math works, but if (or someone) does a report on Gross Pay, then that amount may be off if I am seeing correctly. OR, maybe the reports will be accurate, but the view under SPLIT just reflects that???

Either way, I am caught up for my incomes for the year now! Thanks a lot for the support and understanding.

One more suggestion on this. The net amount is shown under the My Incomes page. But when you go to record, there is no field that shows the net number. It's not until you make the deposit, then you see the net number in the account. It would be nice to have a review on the record page as some folks have to make adjustments to the variable expenses and it helps when you can validate the net number before recording the deposit.

Re:Paycheck Entries
Has this been changed? Because it seems as if the NET amount (after deposits to other accounts) are still factors in those Deposit To accounts. The balance after expenses and Deposit To transfers, should be much lower than I am seeing.

Re:Paycheck Entries
Thank you for the clarification in your email. The issue was the deposit to accounts when checked and on the Paycheck Split were being added in addition to your Gross amount instead of coming out of your gross. This has been updated so that if you have Paycheck Split selected and you've chosen to deposit some of that money to a different account than your main, the initial transaction to your main account will be the gross amount minus your deposits.

Re:Paycheck Entries
If you check the deposit to checkbox you shouldn't need to use the tax checkbox. Please email us the net amount you are seeing and the amount you are expecting to see.

Re:Paycheck Entries
Yes, I need the split paycheck option since my deposits occur at the beginning. You mentioned before to use the "Deposit to" checkbox. I am doing that, but I'm asking if I also need to check the tax/deduction box as well since my NET total is still off

Re:Paycheck Entries
The Split Paycheck option doesn't have the ability to create a transfer as well. You can deposit to a separate account as part of your split but this creates a separate deposit or withdrawal transaction to that account. This option is for users who have their auto deposit going to separate accounts from the beginning. Usually this won't be a split transaction and instead multiple deposit transactions to separate accounts.

If however you choose the Split & Transfer option, you won't see the Tax option since this will create a single split transaction first to your account, and then create a separate transfer transaction after the full deposit is applied. If you choose this option and want it to record tax info, you can enter negative amounts for the tax portions and enter your full gross for the main deposit.

Re:Paycheck Entries
Should I be selecting Tax/Deduction for transfers too?

Re:Paycheck Entries
Thank you for sending the screenshot. It looks like if you edit your income entry and look to the right of each split amount, you should see a checkbox titled "Tax/Deduction". This will indicate to us that this should be treated as negative. Checking that box next to each item should fix the issue you are seeing. If not, please let us know.
