Re:My bills
Please Note:
If your Bill is a credit card, please make sure you only save the last 4 numbers of your account number for security reasons. We have posted a note next to the Account Number field as well.

Re:My bills
We've reviewed your comments and found your first suggestion to be the best way to implement Bill Information. The My Bills page will now include an Account Number field which is tied directly to the Bill and not the Contact. To view the account numbers, you will now see a link at the top that says "Bill Information" which will show the name, account number, and phone number of the Bill. This should allow an easy way to keep track of your Bill Contacts.

As far as payees, we will be implementing a payees page which will include the Transactions, Bills, and Income names and will work similar to the Categories page. This will probably take a bit of time to implement but sounds like a good addition to the site.

Re:My bills
Thank you. Indeed, one can add new filters to the contacts, at will. That makes things easier. If contacts can be payees, then a payee contact can be tied to a bill, since one of the blank fields in the Bills page is precisely Payee. A decision would remain, however, as to the inclusion of new fields like account number and the like. I remind you also that new payees can be entered from the transaction toolbar, although those payees are not necessarily listed anywhere else in the website.

Re:My bills
Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the suggestions. From the My Contacts page, when creating a new contact, we allow users to create their own categories instead of business. Perhaps we can create a new default category labeled Bills and have all new Bills added to the Bills category instead of Business. Then create a link from the My Bills page that takes you directly to the Contacts filtering on the Bills category.

That's fine by me. However, listing payees as contacts (even if they are a type of business contact) is, to borrow your own words, a little tricky, because often (as in the case of utility bills) the payee identifier is simply the corporate name, and, as a result, the fields related to personal information (person's first and last name, birthday, etc) become irrelevant, and must be left blank. A bill payee is a very special type of business contact, one to whom money is paid on a recurring basis and who is often known to the payer only as a corporate entity. I still think it makes more sense to remove the link between Contact and Bill and to add additional fileds for payee information under My Bills (especially since the number of bills one normally has is necessarily limited, compared to the number of possible contacts, which is likely to be much greater). Another alternative consistent with this approach would be to create a dedicated payee page which would include all relevant information to a payee, and to allow the user to tie each of his/her bills to a specific payee. Still a third possibility would be to add a new "payee" filter to the contacts to facilitate categorization and clarify the distinction between payees and business contacts. I apologize for the length of my message, but I feel it is exciting and fun to contribute to the design of your website.
