Thank you for the feedback. This has been updated to now only apply the category to the From Account and not the To Account. Please let us know if you still see any issues.

Yes, it does not do that for me. Every transfer bill I set up started double categorizing both the from and to account in Jan 09. Thanks! Jack

Thank you for finding this out. Yes, the default should be that your From Account gets assigned the category and the To Account is left empty to avoid this issue. Please let us know if this is not what you are seeing when you record a Bill.

Ahhh, I just figured it out. In January I had to delete and recreate several of my bills. Now my bills that are transfers record the category in my checking account and my mortgage account, so the two cancel each other out.
I manually changed my mortgage account transaction to no category and then it works.
Is there a way when setting up a transfer bill that I can pick and say that I want it to record a category for my one account, but not for the account it goes into? I could swear it used to let me do that since it worked before. If not I can manually update my transactions each month but that kind of defeats the convenience of using the bill transfers.

I just checked the the adjust days is not turned on.

If you click on the name of the budget item to update it, do you see "Adjust Days" being set at all? This might be causing your transactions to not get registered for that existing month.

Budget not showing proper spent amount on Bills
Hello,
I just noticed that my budget didn't show that I had paid my mortgage on the first of March. The spent amount was zero. I checked the transaction and the category does match the category name in my budget, so I don't know why it isn't reflecting properly. On further investigation I found out that my mortgages and some of my other bills like my student loan haven't been properly updating the spent amount in my budget. Looking back it is incorrect for Jan, Feb, and Mar of this year. But, it was correct in Dec of 08. I'm out of ideas, any ideas? Thanks, Jack
