Re:Strange balances in budget
The plus sign means that you have deposited more than your allocated income is set for in your budget. We originally had this in red but this made it confusing since it was actually additional income so we added a plus sign instead. For budget expenses though, it remains red when you go over your budget.

Strange balances in budget
Having gone through a lot of financial changes recently, I decided to reset my BudgetTracker account and start from scratch with a new budget, new accounts, etc. We already had money in our account that was allocated to different budget items, so I set up the account with an initial balance of $0, and then made a "deposit" for the actual initial balance as a split transaction, allocating money to each category. That is currently the only transaction I have entered. Now when I look at my budget, some categories have a green total number which happens to be a postive value. Others have a blue number with an actual "+" in front of them. I can't figure out why these are different. The total left for each category seems to be the green numbers minus the blue, which doesn't make sense since the blue numbers are definitely positive. Could you please explain this?
