To to this, first click on the name of the category to update it. Then at the top you should see a link titled "Override Amount". This will allow you to define a new amount on a specific month then carry it forward without affecting your past months which are based on the default budget amount.

needing more for a category
I've decided we need more money allocated to our groceries so I'd like to change the amount starting for June and onwards. However, when I change the amount from $500 to $600 it seems to be changing it all the way back from when I started using budgettracker, and says we have a HUGE amount available because of the carry over.
How do I start the new increased amount from today?
