Re:spliting income
Please try it now. Note that this only keeps the filter when updating or splitting a transaction.

Re:spliting income
thanks so much for working on this - the split thing is great now, however the filters are still not staying applied, sorry...

Re:spliting income
This should now be supported. We've removed the split option from the dropdown when updating a transaction since it's a link next to the amount. You'll also now see a split option when changing categories on the Transactions page. Once the split transaction is saved, your filters should now also be re-applied.

Re:spliting income
ok weird, if I select the "split transaction" link from beside the transaction amount inside the individual transaction page it does carry the amount into the split page. if I select it from the dropdown menu within the individual transaction page it is still a blank amount. Also for some odd reason it is not holding my filtering. when I finish with that transaction it is taking me back to year to date of all my transactions. So it's obviously less than expedient to have to filter, individual transaction, split, ok, filter, individual transaction, split, etc. It would be SO much faster to be able to filter, go to the individual split from the transactions page, and then go back to the filtered transactions.

Re:spliting income
all our income is currently categorized as "personal income". I filtered that category and was going to go through and make each a split category, so I clicked on the first deposit and from the transaction page (where you can add a description and all that other stuff) I picked "split transaction" from the dropdown, which took me to the split page, which looks a little different than the split page for expenses. there was no amount - it either just said 0 or was blank. I tried entering a number in one of the splits, but the only option for apply leftover then was a negative amount.

Re:spliting income
Does this happen after you've tried to save the split transaction or while you're entering the numbers? Or are you referring to when creating a new Income recurrence?

spliting income
I'm still trying to figure out the way this is set up to function. I made an "income" category for all of our income because I didn't know how else it was supposed to be categorized, and I figured that way I can disperse it to the other categories at my discretion. with most of my deposits I want to put part of it in another category right away, so I tried using the split transaction to categorize it, but for some reason it is not taking the amount into the split page - it's registering as $0, so I would have to write down the amount before choosing the split transaction and then enter the numbers based off of what I wrote down. I think it must be a glitch.
