If you update your Budget Category and click Override, this allows you to either select any given number of month to change your budget amount to or you can select to have the budget amount adjusted indefinitely. To store multiple amounts for a budget category on different dates, the override feature is the best way to hand this.

Updating budget amounts without changing past budgets
I've noticed when I change a budget amount, it changes it for all months past and future. Is there a away I can "freeze" a budget after the month is done? I'm just starting to budget consistently, so that means evaluating my categories every month and changing them to better suit me. I want to make changes to my budget for March without messing up what I did for February. It seems the only way to do this now would be to override my categories indefinitely. It seems a bit much to have to override every category I want to adjust so that it won't adjust past budgets.
