Thanks for the prompt reply. I'm going to have to give up on this application. It's fully featured but not well documented (why build all this great features if you don't explain how to use it?). Online support is not good either. Sorry. Good luck.

Yes the bill is tied to the budget category (the bill has the "Tie to budget" check-box ticked) and Recurrence is set to yearly. When I go to My Budget (with "Standard Budget" and "Monthly" selected at the top) the "Car Insurance" category says: "Starts in Feb 2011" which is when the bill is due. If I switch to envelope mode, the "Car Insurance" category does not even appear. Question: How can allocate money from my income to this bill so that when I get to February 2011, I'll have $600 saved?
Thanks, Ian.

If the Bill is tied to your budget category and its set to yearly, the budget will automatically be tracked yearly. You may be looking at the Tracking Type on the My Budget page which is used for monthly and yearly budgeting.

How do I link a annual bill to a budget (so I can save for the bill)?
Say I have an annual Car Insurance bill for $600

I'd like to have an envelope budget so I can save $50 per month (so that after a year I have $600 saved in that envelope).

How do I do this?

I can link a bill to a budget but only if the bill is monthly (create a budget and "add to my bills". How can I link an annual bill to a budget?
