This has now been implemented. You should see a dropdown when balancing your account to allow you to choose to either include unreconciled transactions or update unreconciled transactions to reconciled.

Hello,
I see the feature to "Balance Account" on specific accounts, but it only asks for an ending balance. It does not provide an opportunity to flip transactions from unreconciled to reconciled.
