We've updated the site to now allow this as an option from the Settings page. Having several drop-downs will depend on the speed of your computer so we've added this as an addon option in the Settings page. You will now see a new entry titled "Transaction Categories" to allow you to change the category links to drop-downs. When updating the dropdown, this will dynamically get saved on the backend.

Re:updating categories
Thank you for the idea. We'll see if we can move the selectbox to the same area as each category. We want to avoid having a select box for each transaction like the confirm page since this will be a slower user experience but we'll make it so when you select a new category, it will automatically save it instead of having to click the save button.

updating categories
Please, please, please modify the 'updating categories' functionality in My Transactions to be as easy to use as the 'selecting categories' functionality in the Confirm Import page. It is so much easier to use on this page. In fact, I've been updating my categories in the Confirm Import page instead of doing it in the My Transactions page. Until today! The transactions are not saved in the Confirm Import page (until you hit confirm), while I was updating the categories, my battery ran out and I lost all those updates I had been working on. Thanks,John
