Thats correct. Once we integrate Budgeting by Account, this will no longer be an issue since you will only see transactions recorded that are handled under a specific account.

the transfer is to pay a credit card bill, so I have the transfer coming out of the checking account now has the category which is the name of the bill "Bank of America"; then the Bank of America side of the transaction just has no category at all. Is that the way to do it?

This most likely is due to having both the From Account and the To Account set to the same budget category which will essentially cancel each other out. If this is not the case, please let us know.

Budget not reflecting money spent
The Budget is not reflecting the money I have indicated as spent in one of my transfers to pay a credit card.
