Re:Loan Balance
What you can do if you have existing withdrawals but not transfers is change the type to a transfer and select your Loan Account as the To Account. This will create a deposit transaction automatically and tie it to that withdrawal. You can then update the deposit transaction created in your Loan Account and click on Split Transaction next to the amount field. You should then see the text Principal and Interest next to the 1rst and 2nd amounts. Remember if you use the same category for your deposit as you did for your withdrawal, they will cancel each other out so it's best to only assign the category to the withdrawal for tracking in your Budget.

Re:Loan Balance
I see the split feature, but for categories only. I don`t see the split feature for transaction type?

Re:Loan Balance
For the balance sheet, it looks like you have withdrawals coming out of the checking account but don't have any deposits into your Loan account yet so you are just viewing the opening balance. When you record a bill, it should create a transfer of two transactions, one for a withdrawal from your checking and one for a deposit into your loan account. If you create a split deposit into your Loan account, you should see an interest option when creating the transaction.

Loan Balance
My car payment 300. Each time I pay interest is taken out and the rest goes to principal. The balance sheet does not show the principal being deducted from the loan balance to show the current status, it continues to show the original loan balance
