Please try it now. You now have the option to select a main category for the new sub-category you create.

Adding a Category within a transaction
FYI - When I add a new bill and select a category ("add category"), it allows me to type a new sub-category name, but then when I finish entering the new bill, another box pops up next to the sub-category where I assume I'm supposed to be able to choose which main category to file the sub-category under. (I want to choose "General" rather than the default "Bills.") It does not give me time to choose a main category before the option to do so disappears and the new bill is saved as is. Then I have to go to the categories page and re-classify my sub-category.
Until this is fixed, I'll just make sure I create my new sub-categories within the Categories section rather than through a new transaction or new bill.
