Are you selecting an existing payee or creating a new one? As for categories, we have added to our todo list the ability to create categories in mobile. For now, you'll need to create new categories on the website to be used in mobile.

When I add a transaction in the mobile website, it either changes the Payee. For example, I put in a name of a person and it changed it to "ace hardware..." Cannot add categories in mobile either :(
