Thanks for the workaround. Google Docs will import the data. I believe that I used to be able to open these files with Excel 2007 at my previous office.

Re:Exported Excel files not viewable
Thank you, there seems to be a problem with how Microsoft Excel online interprets our files. If you go to Google Docs, you should be able to import your data with an online program. To do so, go to: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets Then in the upper right corner click the folder icon and choose the Upload tab. Once you've uploaded the document to Google Docs, try exporting it as excel and that may allow you to view it in Microsoft Excel online as a temporary solution until we can release a fix.

Re:Exported Excel files not viewable
I just tried exporting transactions and I am getting the same error. This is now a serious issue as I use my downloaded transactions in other programs.

Exported Excel files not viewable
I have tried exporting several reports (ie. 2016 budget) to an Excel file (.xls) but this file cannot be opened by Excel. I tried opening with with LibreOffice but it tried to import as txt but doesn't work.
